Relaxing

Esalen massage is the King of relaxing massages. It was created at the end of ‘60s, when the USA was involved in the cruel war in Vietnam. That period was full of mourning and endless tragedies, and in US society new trends started to appear much more clearly, like protection, need, comfort, peace, tenderness, faith in life, and no possessive love. At Esalen Institute, in South California, some therapists invented a new massage, called Esalen Massage. This is a very harmonious massage, which uses large, movements that “embrace and wrap” the person, to make him feel welcomed and accepted. This type of massage insists on the concept of “contact and rotation”, privileging the therapeutic process that will lead the user to his fullfillment. Technically, it uses a lot of manipulation: touch, pull, vibration, kneading, local pressure, sliding pressure, friction, rocking, stretching, duckbill and pinching, extremely fluid techniques, which stimulate breathing and other vital functions, giving an extraordinary sensation of well being. It is both energetic and relaxing because it releases muscle tensions and opens and harmonizes the whole body. It’s a relaxing gestalt massage par excellence.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue massage is performed on athletes or people who need to remove muscle contraction and fatigue after any type of physical training. Its draining effect is combined with fast removal of lactic acid and of metabolic waste produced during exercise. The Deep Tissue massage is not a specific technique, but it’s the union of different massage techniques used for athletes. The Deep Tissue Massage mainly works vigorously and energetically on the muscles, dissolving the contracted muscle fibers, astride on his back. The Deep Tissue Massage is performed using olive oil, like traditional massage since ancient times, indeed it’s appreciated by modern science for its many qualities (rejuvenating properties and antioxidants, rich in vitamins that preserve cells from aging). It’s also used Roman lavender essential oil (shooting, toning, and anti-inflammatory). The Deep Tissue massage is recommended to all people who had a busy day, or after a illness period, it’s also a good massage after a sports competition. This type of massage physically breaks down muscle knots to relieve pain and ensure your muscles are moving normally. The main objective of this massage is to stimulate the deep potential of desire of love to target pleasure; as opposed to traditional tantra, Red Tantra does not aim for enlightenment. Red Tantra
(a term used to describe the use in modern western culture of the concept of Tantra) mainly focuses on the well-being and harmony of the couple and the achievement of higher pleasures and ecstasy. It is predominantly recommended for couples, but not exclusively so, as it can also be applied to individuals. Perfect for rekindling the romance in your intimate relationship, it is very relaxing and energizing. Ayurvedic

The Ayurveda term comes from Veda, that means “knowledge” and from Ayu, that means “life”, so Ayurveda means “life knowledge”, or rather the art of good living. The Ayurvedic history began in Vedic period around 5000 b.C. Abyangam is part of discipline, medicine, philosophy and ayurvedic art (abyangam literally means massage). The Ayurvedic massage is based on the constitution of three doshas (three energies) Vata, Pita, Kapha and uses a Tailam, specific healing oil. It works on the constitutive energies through the body manipulation, modifying the composition and helping the organism to recreate the lost balance. There are three basic classification, and each one is adapted to the user’s constitution: the Anti-Vata technique is a “heavy” massage, stabilizer, painkiller and heating, used if the person presents nervous instability; the Anti-Pita is a “soft” massage, soothing and refreshing, used if the person presents nervous instability; the Anti-Kapha technique is a “dynamic” massage, slimming and draining, used if the person presents apathy. The Ayurvedic massage is very important to cure physical, physiological and psychological problems.

Body on Body

Body Tantra Massage is an holistic treatment. It’s the fusion between Tantra Massage and Traditional Body Massage, performed body on body. The massage therapist uses his whole oiled body like a massage tool. He begins a slowly massage, deep and enveloping, and in this way the patient reaches an high level of relax and pleasure. They are used all the Tantra techniques, including feathers, fabric, and hot oil. The Body on Body Massage is carried out only on the floor on the futon and it isn’t absolutely a therapeutic massage, but it aims exclusively to the pleasure and pure relax. For obvious reasons this massage will not be performed on older people, or people with physical or mental disablement. This type of massage is performed exclusively to one person at a time, so it’s not possible ask for this massage as a simultaneous couple treatment, it can only be performed alternately. Please, do not ask for different performance further this, we have zero tolerance.

Four Hands

Four Hands Massage is a treatment performed by two therapists simultaneously with oil. They create a relaxing and continuous movement to the beat of music. This massage greatly amplifies the effect of the two hands massage. Almost all type of massages can be performed at four hands with other massage therapists (man or woman). This treatment stimulates more body parts at the same time; in this way the patient is in full contact with himself allowing a deep and pleasant abandonment. The most important thing is that the movements are absolutely symmetrical: same maneuvers, same rhythm, same dynamics. Also emotionally the four hands massage has a stronger impact because it gives the feeling of being pampered and completely looked after. During this treatment there is always an energy transition between the receiver and the therapists, and for this reason the therapists are available in “listening” and “comprehension” of the receiver, using the hands to give pleasure and deep relaxation. To have four hands working on your body at the same time is a truly soothing experience with many different sensations happening at the same time so your body and mind won’t know.

Midhiabyangam, è un massaggio Ayurverdico Anti-Vata e Anti-Kapha che consiste in pressioni,
scrollamenti, strofinamenti brevi e lunghi, della durata massima di un'ora. In questa tecnica si usano tradizionalmente i piedi (ma anche le mani). Il massaggio Keraliano energetico e rinvigorente è un massaggio dinamico e forte, ma il suo ritmo può variare a seconda della costituzione. È una tecnica molto utilizzata in Kerala a sud dell'India, questo tipo di massaggio aumenta l'energia del corpo ma allo stesso tempo è un trattamento che rilassa notevolmente; è un massaggio che può essere fatto da solo o può accompagnare altri importanti trattamenti Ayurvedici. Il massaggio Keraliano prevede delle manualità eseguite sia con le mani che con i piedi, che favoriscono tonicità delle fibre muscolari ed un rinnovo dei tessuti. È un massaggio eseguito con olio che va a nutrire in profondità la pelle e la struttura scheletrica, generalmente viene utilizzato l'olio di sesamo o di mais. L'operatore (massaggiatore) deve tenersi ad una corda attaccata al muro o al soffitto per mantenere l'equilibrio, oppure appoggiarsi ad un tavolo, ad una seggiola o anche ad una persona, in modo da scaricare il peso e mantenersi in equilibrio. È un massaggio energico e decontratturante decisamente adatto ad atleti e ballerini.
